Vehicle configurations vary. Please check dimensions, clearance and fitment carefully before ordering. There is a restocking fee for returns.

Vehicles with towing packages may have limited space for a larger differential cover. Also, the spare tire may be close to the cover. Some folks have increased the space by tying the spare tire back.

Please check and order the correct mounting bolt thread diameter. These differentials were made with 3/8-inch (.375 inch) and 8mm (.315 inch) bolts. PML offers the cover in both versions: P/N 6060-1 is for 3/8-inch bolts and P/N 6060-2 is for 8mm bolts.

Matching Front Cover for 4WD

For 4WD trucks and SUVs with the GM 8.5, 10 Bolt front end, PML offers a matching differential cover.

See the GM 8 1/2, Front 10 Bolt, Part Number 6077

The matching front cover is available in all finishes. Shown in black powder coated.

Bolt Holes

This PML GM 10.5 inch differential cover uses 12 of the 14 bolts.

The bolt hole at the bottom was removed because the drain boss is best located there. At the top of the cover another bolt hole was removed to avoid interference with a bracket on some trucks.

The strong flange on the PML cover means that the 2 bolts left out are not missed.

The flange is very thick and blanchard ground to be flat and smooth. This is different than the construction of the stock cover, which is thin and can tweak or deform. We have sold many of these and have never had a problem with leaking.

Metric or Standard Bolts

Please check and order the correct mounting bolt thread diameter. These differentials were made with 3/8-inch (.375 inch) and 8mm (.315 inch) bolts. PML offers the cover in both versions: P/N 9369-1 is for 3/8-inch bolts and P/N 9369-2 is for 8mm bolts.

Temperature Sending Unit Machining (OPTIONAL)

Optionally, this cover can be machined for a temperature sending unit. PML can drill and tap a 1/8 NPT hole on the front face as shown in these pictures. There is a $45 machining charge.

The hole is on the FACE of the cover. PML spot faces the area for a good seal. PML provides a plug for the hole.
